The Xi'an Advanced Manufacturing and Digital Industry Exhibition - Xi'an National Defense Science and Technology Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Xi'an Military Expo) aims to promote the digital transformation of advanced manufacturing. It will comprehensively and accurately study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech during his inspection in Shaanxi, conduct in-depth research and grasp the major opportunities facing the development of advanced manufacturing, digital industry, and military science and technology industries in Shaanxi, and focus on key industrial chains in Shaanxi Province such as aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-end equipment, national defense informatization, smart terminals, and new materials.
As a crucial component of Shaanxi Province's advanced manufacturing industrial cluster, the aviation industry cluster is booming. Yanliang District, spearheaded by AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd., boasts over a thousand enterprises. More than 30 types of large and medium-sized military and civilian aircraft have been developed here. Over 40 enterprises in the district have participated in the research and development of aircraft models such as the Y-20, J-20, Z-20, H-6K, C919, and MA series. Breakthroughs in a number of core technologies that filled domestic gaps have been achieved here, and China's first regional jet with independent intellectual property rights to enter the international market, the MA series, took to the skies from here. The Xi'an aviation industry cluster was selected as one of the first batch of national advanced manufacturing clusters; the UAV industry is developing rapidly and is among the leading industries nationwide. Beyond the aviation industry, Shaanxi's advanced manufacturing industries, including commercial vehicles (heavy trucks), passenger vehicles (new energy), and solar photovoltaics, have also grown rapidly and steadily with the help of leading enterprises such as Shaanxi Automobile, Xi'an BYD, and LONGi Green Energy, contributing to the expansion of Shaanxi's advanced manufacturing industrial cluster.
Shaanxi's defense science and technology industry boasts strong capabilities and outstanding comprehensive advantages. Many of its military research institutes are nationally recognized "only" institutions, with their professional technologies ranking among the top in China. Many key military enterprises integrate research and production, housing multiple technology research institutes and product development research organizations. They possess strong research and development capabilities in their respective fields, making them research-leading enterprises. Shaanxi's defense science and technology industry enjoys good technical equipment and research conditions, with strong technology integration capabilities. The per capita value of technical equipment is high, possessing various CNC machining equipment and internationally advanced research and production equipment, some of which are unique in Asia. Shaanxi's defense science and technology industry has strong tracking research and independent development capabilities in six major industries: aerospace, aviation, weaponry, nuclear, electronics, and shipbuilding, as well as in high-tech fields such as microelectronics, optoelectronics, new materials, new energy, automatic control, microwave communication, and computers and software. It undertakes tasks such as national high-tech weapon and equipment research and production system and subsystem projects.
